Full of Bull

I kind of love this "Celtic Animal Sign" description of my birthdate I found in the paragon of journalism, Woman's World.

April 15-May 12 --- You're a Bull!
Trustworthy and fiercely loyal, you're a rock people turn to when they need a shoulder to cry on. You may be stubborn at times, but that's only because you rely on common sense and can't stand when others make bad decisions! Honest, nurturing and loving, Celtic bulls make great moms and confidantes.

Bisneyland for Bebe

Papa and Grandma took us to Disneyland (or, Bisneyland, as Patrick likes to call it) in late-October. It was a potty-training reward a long time coming for Mr. P - and he loved it. Favorite things included:
  • It's a Small World
  • Being able to "meet" Lightening McQueen and Mater
  • Mickey Mouse ears (see below)
  • Standing in the front of a Main Street parade and having at least 10 characters come RIGHT UP TO HIM to give him high fives, pat his head and/or try to get him to join the conga line (which, of course, our little reserved bebe did not join)
  • The cool woodcut Disneyland castle headboard in our hotel room that twinkled and played "A Wish is a Dream Your Heart Makes" with the flip of a switch
  • Cotton candy

  • BONUS: Getting to meet Mommy's dearest and oldest childhood friend, Terra, and her family. He now wishes that he had an 11-year-old older sister named "Chloe".

Puke update: I didn't puke ONCE during our three days in Anaheim. Yay! But the turbulent plane ride back home was a different story. Let's just say that I'm thankful for the generosity of strangers handing me their airsick bags - all of which I used.

Chatter: Just when you think you're feeling better . . .

. . . you throw up in the garden outside of Kohl's.

Me:
Patrick, hang on, Mommy is going to be sick. *proceeding to vomit*

Patrick:
Mom! Don't throw up on the flowers! You're going to kill them!

Me:
*between heaves* Honey, I can't help it. Wait one minute.

Patrick:
I'm going to stand over here. I don't want hear this.
